I've played gta 5 for 6 years starting on the Xbox 360 and I'm planning to get the Xbox series X during the holidays. I've read multiple articles saying that you'll have to rebuy gta 5 to play it on the new consoles but Xbox/Microsoft said that once you buy a game on Xbox one you'll be able to play the best version of that game on the Series X making it a one time payment to buy a game and they emphasized that a lot. So my question is do we really have to rebuy the game to play the most updated version of gta 5 and gta online on the Series X or can we just pop the xbox one disc in and play the best version? (I also read something saying that it might be $70 on the new consoles) I dont want to rebuy the game but if it's the only option I might have too, especially with the new dlc coming out soon.
Just want to throw this hidden gem out there. This game just released on xbox, ps4, and steam. If you have money to spend definitely worth the grab. We have such a low population because not many people knows it exists. Please help get this out there so those of us who love the game can play online.

Any games similar to Minecraft (building a base, manipulating terrain, surviving, ect) but an online open world? Or does Minecraft on Xbox have a dedicated world where you can explore, build and play with others?
So my Xbox has been doing the can’t sign you in right now thing. I went to network settings and went offline, signed in and switched my WiFi back on and it works! No message saying can’t sign you in and you can play games online! Hope this works for anyone else having these dumb issues
Just wanted to remind you all that Midnight Club L.A. still looks decent for a 11 year old game and that you can still play it on Xbox One thanks to backwards compatibility. Even the multiplayer servers are still online. MCLA is hands down the best racing game I‘ve ever played to this day.
PSA: You can play OG XBOX games online with Xlink Kai
Hey all! Just wanted to give everyone a reminder in case anyone wasn't aware that these recent OG xbox games that have gotten added to BC are playable online via Xlink Kai. This program basically tricks the xbox into thinking it is playing via system link. It's not too hard to get setup and it works great! Right now there is a SW BF2(not the new one) event going on. If you are interested you can join the Xbox Xlink Kai Discord Group here: https://discord.gg/kcUcCWf There are a few options for getting Xlink Kai setup. You can install on your pc by following instructions here: https://www.teamxlink.co.uk/quickstart.php Or if you have a raspberry pi you can follow these instructions: https://teamxlink.co.uk/docs/XLink-Kai-Raspberry-Pi-Beginners-Tutorial_v1.03-2018-01-27.pdf You will need to forward a port on your home router. This may be from your ISP or may be one that you bought. If you are not familiar with port forwarding what you want to do is look at your home router and find the model number. Then you can take that model number and go to this site: https://portforward.com/router.htm you can look up the model number and there should be instructions for port forwarding on that specific device. If not just google the model number and add on 'port forward' to it. You are going to need to forward the chosen port (I used 30000 UDP) to the pc or pi that has KAI installed. Once you get it installed and you have created an account you can connect to different game arenas by using the web browser on your phone and going to the IP address of your xlink PC. A couple other things to note is that some routers and switches do not play nice with the system link packets that are sent by the xbox. I had my xbox and raspberry pi hooked up to the same smart switch that hooks up to my router. turns out my smart switch was blocking the packets needed for system link so while I was able to see online matches I could not join any. I swapped out the smart switch with a dumb switch and was able to connect immediately. Hopefully this catches on as I see so many people asking for xbox live for OG xbox games. This is not the same but it is pretty damn close. Right now I have Jedi Academy, SW Battlefront 2, and Conker Live and reloaded installed and ready to play online. If anyone wants to play or has questions setting it up let me know.
If you have a Nintendo Online Membership, can I play online games on the Xbox One X?
Nintendo’s online service utilizes Xbox Live to make online gaming happen. I have a few xbox360 games downloaded, and when the game boots up it states I’m signing into Xbox Live, and allows the Cloud Saved Data to be synced. So, why can’t I play Minecraft online for the Xbox One X, but on my Switch I CAN play online? If they are both using the same service why can’t I play online games on both systems? Do I really need to pay for both subscriptions separately??

Here’s an idea of how many overlapping signals that are in my house that can interrupt WiFi for the Xbox....this is why you use Ethernet for those of you who wonder why your downloads are slow or game play online sucks. Overlapping channels = bad and there’s are soooo many channels overlapping
